Laser Rangefinding
Space Communication

Raytron’s SWIR, microwave, and laser technologies power space communications, enabling inter-satellite, ground-to-satellite, and ground-to-ground wireless links.

Application Scenarios

Raytron Photonics’ LINK41 short-wave infrared (SWIR) module has successfully enabled China Unicom to deploy China’s first commercial Free Space Optical Communication (FSO) system across a 1.5km lake span, achieving stable service transmission. With high-precision optical acquisition and tracking, it ensures stable laser connectivity even under adverse atmospheric conditions, overcoming the signal-stability challenges caused by atmospheric turbulence in traditional FSO systems. By fusing FSO’s ultra-high bandwidth with microwave’s deployment flexibility, this solution provides a cornerstone for the evolution of integrated space–air–ground networks.
